Interests/Hobbies/attributes: 

I love working with people and enjoy organising functions and events and I welcome challenges as I find them stimulating. I have no difficulty working independently using my initiative and creativity once I have been given a brief. I have completed diplomas in Graphic Design, Marketing Management, and Business Management as I feel they complement each other and having the qualifications gives me the edge when it comes to holding a position in marketing, management and design. I also know how to have fun and enjoy model building, building Lego with and for my kids, word searches, painting, drawing and colouring. I love to set myself projects and goals and do my best to achieve them all. I also enjoy reading and playing outdoors with my daughters. 

 

Motivation for position:

I am a people person, I work well under pressure and am focused in what I do, enabling me to meet deadlines where required. I have a good eye for detail and for what works visually. I have good financial and event planning skills. I also have a broad knowledge of signage, digital and finished artwork. Career work experience:

3D Designer (Feb 2022- Feb 2023):

I was employed full time as a 3D designer for the Hirt & Carter Symmetry team where I assisted in designing and finishing artwork into dielines from the structural team. I also received basic training in Cinema 4D and was learning to create 3D renders of the designed items. (resigned due to relocation) 

 

Senior Designer (Nov 2013- Jan 2022):

I was employed full time as a Senior designer for the marketing department at Mass Discounters (Head office to Game and previously Dion Wired stores). I focus mainly on major marketing projects, permanent store signage as well as all POS and POP signage and digital campaigns. I use Illustrator / In-Design / Photoshop / RMS / BeePro / Zmags / Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Key Note and Online based management tools in the course of my work. I also have the ability to work off floorplans and die lines. I have also been assisting the Creative Manager with the day to day administration of our team. Retail Designer (Feb 2011-2013):

I was employed full time as a retail designer and progressed to be a project manager at Hirt & Carter. I use Freehand / Illustrator / In-Design / Excel / Word and Photoshop in the course of my work. (Reference letter from Chris can be provided)

I worked full time as a graphic designer at Art Publishers. I use Freehand / In-Design and Photoshop in the course of my work. I was retrenched due to downsizing. (Reference below from Peter and Neil)
